what you are seeking is seeking you

My Approach

My practice is rooted in a collaborative and relational style. I believe that what many people long for is deeper and more connected relationships; part of the therapeutic journey is to come into true relationship with your self so that deeper relationships with others is possible.

I have experience with a range of issues including: depression, self-esteem, anxiety and stress, addictions, abuse, bereavement, panic attacks, unresolved trauma, family and relationship concerns, career and life choices, and questions of spirituality and meaning.

I am trained as a therapeutic arts facilitator and as part of my approach we may explore artistic expression as this can help support the therapeutic process. Creative work might include drawing, painting, creative writing, journalling, visualisation and imagination.

As a relational, holistic, creative therapist, working together we can undertake the journey to find what really matters to you and what might be holding you back. Therapy is not limited to the exploration of suffering and adversity, the process may also include:

  • Learning to see yourself with love and compassion

  • Deepening an understanding of how to develop more meaningful and intimate relationships with yourself and others.

  • Unlearning unhelpful patterns of behaviour and relating

  • Learning to face what frightens you in support of your growth and development

  • Cultivating curiosity, creativity, awareness and spontaneity

  • Seeing your challenges as potential sources of meaning, value and purpose.

  • Connecting to the wisdom of your body, sensations, thoughts and emotions.

  • Discovering how people pleasing and disowning your needs might be getting in the way

  • Developing more awareness and choice

  • Building rituals and practices that support your health and wellbeing.
